Since 1971, the Maryland Transportation Authority has been responsible for constructing, managing, operating and improving the State's toll facilities, as well as for financing new revenue-producing transportation projects. The Authority's seven toll facilities - a turnpike, two tunnels and four bridges - help keep traffic moving in Maryland. All of the Transportation Authority's projects and services are funded through tolls paid by the customers who use the agency's facilities.
For more than three decades, the Maryland Transportation Authority has provided Maryland's citizens and visitors with safe and convenient transportation facilities. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the Maryland Transportation Authority.
