This position is located in a chemical manufacturing plant on the Illinois River about 30-40 minutes from Peoria, IL. 

This is a hands-on in-plant process engineer.  Plant Manager really needs someone that can work with and communicate well with the operators on the floor, not be intimidated and not talk down to them either.

They are offering a nice salary and a nice relocation package, well as other long-term incentive plans.  This job is located in a very reasonable cost of living area close to the beautiful Illinois River.  If you like hiking, fishing, boating, camping, etc. this place has it.  Peoria also has about 115K people, a rejuvenated downtown area a some nice school systems. Good restaurants and other venues can be found.   Located about 2.5 hours from Chicago.  

This is a "full blown" chemical plant for specialty chemicals and has a full complement of chemical unit operations:  batch reactions, and continuous operations like distillation, heat exchangers, cryogenic distillation and much more.  Open due to strong demand for the chemicals produced here  so they are going all out and need help!

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience; including co-op or internship experience, in the chemical industry, preferably in plant engineering roles. (would like to get 5 years but money may be the issue)
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to create and drive new programs; along with experience leading professional and operational groups.
  • Strong work ethic, high level of integrity and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who works well independently or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated skills using verbal and written communications; computer proficient with MS Office and other applications.
